We have a 1996 3.1 we replaced the crackshaft sensor on it but it still cracks and backsfire when tring to start what else could we do

It is not the sensor: The problem is in the fuel adjustment, timing, and/or gas line filter, etc. Too many reasons and needs a total checkup.

We have a 1996 3.1 monte carlo ls we need to replace the crankshaft senor but we cant find it on the motor is there a picture of where one could be

The crankshaft position sensor is a two pin sensor made up of plastic like material. It is located on the back side of the engine block about half way between the oil pan and the top of the block. It can only be accessed by crawling under the car. 33899bbd-15f1-451a-9a7a-a94f8be62e27.png

Will the 2003 chevy monte carlo crank sensor intrechange with 2006 chevy equinox crank sensor

Looking at the books the cut off was at 2005, up till this year the parts would interchange. Also due to the way GMC does things your parts may still interchange. If the Equinox is a early 2006 production. You can take the parts and compair them to each other.

My 99 Monte Carlo LS has a problem i cant figure out, when i accelerate quickly something will let out a rapid loud clicking noise, if im stoped and turn and accelerate it usually wont do it, any ideas?

sounds like spark nock or cv axles, but if it dont click when u turn then it might be incorrectly gapped spark plugs , or bad wires. check your pluggs and wires.
