Under your distributor cap there is a metal part called a rotor when it gets corroded or dirty it stops passing the spark along to the plugs, you can start by replacing the rotor and if there is a gasket between your cap and distributer that looks worn you may want to replace that to because it could be letting spark escape. If you replace those parts and problem persists then It will more than likely be your distributer it's self. Good luck and I hope that I was able to help you out.

Why is my ford festiva is misfiring

It could be a few different things. Bad plugs, bad plug wires, dirty rotor/distributor cap, or a vacuum line that isn't working properly to name a few to start with. I'm wrenching on a 91 Festiva right now as well... Let me know what you've come up with so far and I will see what I can do to help.

No fire to plugs on 1991 ford aerostar 4.o replaced crank sensor, coil pack and switch what else is there

If the engine cranks but has no spark, you need to know if the coil is getting voltage and a ground signal. The coil gets power from the ASD relay and a fuse.
Have you checked the compuer for trouble codes ?

Ford festiva will not fire

You may want to check the spark plugs for how old the car is. Otherwise, you could always have it towed away.

Ford festiva is losing compression

That most likely would be a fuel system problem. Other, less, likely would be transmission. Does the vehicle run OK at idle?
