Question about 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD
Runs appox. 45 min. begins missing & sputtering like bad gas /stop let rest 10 min. or so does ok then starts again. hard to crank / must turn over at least three times to start
I would remove the fuel filter, and blow threw it with your mouth,if it is at all hard to blow threw, replace it,if this does not help, have the fuel pressure checked to see if it is up to recommended psi,if it is not replace the fuel pump. You might try a good fuel conditioner like Lucas fuel treatment,it is the best, and Heet, two bottles of this, this will dry any moister out of the fuel.Use these additives with as less fuel as possible for a consentrated effect. Then use some high grade fuel if it clears up.This combination of the two name brand additives is a good fuel stabilizer ,and works every time if the fuel is contaminated, the fuel we get now is not like it used to be.
