Back up lights are not working. 2004 Silverado HD

Back up lights are not working. Fuses are good.bulbs are good. I replaced the neutral/park/backup safety switch on the side of the trans with no luck. I only have0.1 volts at the connector with the truck in reverse. The connectors seem good at the rear bumper . Any ideas??? Thanks

Switch on the ignition. Put in reverse. Do the following tests.
Locate the fuse and remove it. With the ignition on you should get 12V on one of the now exposed terminals in the fuse box. If not you have a break between the battery and the fuse.
Measure between each of the wires on the switch and earth(negative) - should be 12 V on both. If not disconnect the wires. You should get 12V on one. If not, your supply is at fault (a break between the fuse and the switch). Measure resistance on the other wire, should be about 5 ohm. (or just connect a lead from battery positive to this wire, the lights should go on) If not the problem is downstream.(toward the lights).
Measure resistance across the switch terminals. Should be 0(or close to it when reverse is engaged) If not the switch is faulty(again) or is not being activated by the inner workings of the transm.
Put the lights' wire back. Place lead wire on the other connector of the switch and the lights should once again be lit.

2003 Chevy Malibu back up light fuse location to be replaced.

Backup Lamps
The B/U LMP fuse #42 in the underhood junction block supplies ignition positive voltage to the park/neutral position switch. When the driver places the gear selector lever in the REVERSE position, the current flow is from the park/neutral position switch to the backup lamps. The backup lamps are grounded at G401 and G402.
Are you also having shifting problems ? If not , I can tell you it's not the fuse ! Wiring problem, the bulbs , park/neutral position switch !
But

Why don't my 1998 s10 backup lights work when car is in reverse, stop and tail lights work fine all bulbs and fuses seem to be good ?

if the backup bulbs are good then check the neutral switch as this is where the reverse switch is, its part of the neutral switch. it may have stopped working and need replacing. you will be replacing the neutral switch. if you have power out of the switch then check for power and ground at the light socket as there could be a bad wire or connection.

Backup lights don't work. Not a fuse or bulb problem

Believe safety neutral and back up lights are all in one switch on transmission/tansaxle.

What's your problem?back up lights on a 2002 chevy silverado 2500 HD doesn't work, i have checked the bulbs and fuses, they are good ,,, how do i fix them?

disconect the reverse light switch wires from the gearbox & bridge. If the lights come on it is a faulty switch.

I have a 1999 chevy silverado and my parking light on the left rear is not workig. I have checked the fuses and they are good. Replaced the bulb and replaced the socket for the bulb and still does not...

Loosen up the housing and re-tighten, it may not be getting a good ground. Also, turn on the park lights and check for voltage at the fuse. Some auto;s have other fuses that work with other components. You can look in your manual and it may say fuse 14 is for park lights but look at other fuse locations and it will state fuse 25 is for park lights, horn, cig lighter, tow hook up. These are not the right fuse locations, just giving example of how it may be. Good luck

Parking and backup lights quit working.everything else works including instrument lights.checked fuses and parking light relay both are good. Can someone please come up with a suggestion.

Try checking out your light bulbs in parking and backup light locations. Sometimes when one bulb goes out or just comes loose, it stops the entire circuit from operating.

Brake lights wont work! All others do!

I just had the same problem on my '04 Silverado. All it was was corrosion in the socket/bulb. Put some dialectic grease on both the bulbs and worked them in and out a couple of times and now they work fine. Was weird that they both went out suddenly and together but I guess they are made exactly the same.

2000 Silverado daytime running lights don't work. bulbs new.

Not saying that you don't know this but the daytime lights are turned off in park.
If that is not your problem, a friend of mine uses the amber bulbs, they last longer.
