To fix the KIA Sportage with code P0171, try servicing the mass sensor first before attempting to replace the sensor. During the servicing, try cleaning the mass sensor wire elements first and reset the engine computer code again. If the problem is not fixed, your next best option is to have the engine smoke “test” so you can find minute vacuum leak in the engine intake which is not visible to the naked eye. Small independent garages provide this “smoke test” at a minimal price if you phone around. Carb cleaner just don’t work anymore especially in an engine like this where it does not leave you any room to work. Once that you have established that the vacuum leak is not present in the engine, you can then go ahead and replace the mass sensor.

P0172 - System Too Rich (Bank 1)
From what I understand, it could be any/all of the following, though the O2 sensor is typically falsely blamed:

* PCM software needs to be updated
* Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF)
* Defective Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (MAP)
* Engine mechanical problems
* Defective Oxygen Sensor
* Defective Fuel Pressure Regulator
* Defective Coolant and/or Air Temperature Sensor
* Thermostat is stuck open
* Ignition Misfires
* Defective Throttle Position Sensor
* Defective or restricted fuel return line
* Defective Fuel Injectors

P0440 code is usually emissions EVAP purge solenoid valve faulty, or sometimes associates with cracked/clogged return purge line or similar.
P1693 MIL Circuit Malfunction.

I had code po449 repaired and now getting code po171. emissions test done and it failed because of not enough mileage to reset all systems. Will this effect the emissions test after putting mileage

P0171 is an oxygen sensor code meaning the engine is running too lean You did not specify what year make model nor engine size. You may have a vacuum leak or a MAF sensor problem causing this issue. It can also be a defective oxygen sensor. The engine data should be scanned to isolate the problem by a qualified shop

Want to know what PO172 System too rich bank 1 means and PO175 System too rich bank 2 means. These are fault codes from an emissions test I had done on my Dodge avenger and it failed

it means your cars computer is pumping too muchgas into your motor because it thinks the engine is either running lean possibly due to faulty o2 sensors or that the coolant temp sensor is giving false readings and the ecm thinks the car is still too cold.

Po171 po172 po174 po175 ???

If the fuel pressure was low enough to give lean codes then u would have a loss of power that you would easily notice, you say you checked for vacuum leaks, did you use a can of carb spray or a bottle of propane? it only takes a very small leak to trigger the codes, spray carb spray around the intake area, see if the engine sound changes, this will indicate a leak,
