Sounds like, unfortunately, that your reverse gear went out. The only way to get it fixed is to take it to a transmission speciality repair shop to have the gear replaced. Also a very expensive job, could be as much as $1000 to $1500.

Why does my citren c5 not rev?

C5 uses motorized throttle body. You need to get it connected to a Peugeot/Citroen scanner e.g. Lexia 3 and get it reprogrammed.

While driving engine revs up and down

unfortunately this is a very common problem with the Broncos. I love my Bronco but I could do without some of the common problems. Revving up and down could be caused by a PCM module. If you look on any Bronco forum on the internet you will see very many people speaking about these common problems. When the Bronco is running in top shape you can't beat one. But when they start to have problems you will wish you never owned one. Lol.

First thing to try would be different fuel. Use a fuel stabilizer and fill with good gas. see if that helps. Also, check the fuel pressure.

90 lincoln was running hot 3 yrs ago,and no heat just replaced head gasket, heads pass pressure test,no cracks in heads, head gasket was bad, still no heat, heater hoses hot, pressure test cooling system...

Have you even considered the heater core? Have the heater core checked/replaced. As for the top hose collapsing...that is not good. Have the entire system checked out by a qualified mechanic.

1987 bronco emmisions

that depends on what state you live in and what they require. i assume you must have to go a an old style drive on dynomometer ?. if so and the bronco is carberated. make sure you have at least 1 good converter .also make sure the fresh air smogg pump is working correctly. be sure the timming is not set too high as that will raise the hydrocarbons. than keep your fingers crossed.
good luck chris

I have a 1990 Ford Bronco II that will crank, but will not start. It was running fine yesterday, but today will not start.

spray starting fluid in the intake. if it starts it's fuel problem, if it does not it's electrical. could be bad fuel pump or crank sensor
