OK, this is usually due to a leaky master cylinder or low level of fluid or air in the 'clutch' system.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the direction. The master cylinder was the problem, a visit to the wreckers secured a replacement. Now the next step, fitting the cylinder."

When I idol my 1989 toyota corolla 2e 1300 4 speed Manual Transmission car without pressing clutch it goes into gear I have changed the gearbox clutch and pressure plate and releaser bearing and fork.......

If the car will not shift after engaging the clutch and trying to move the stick, take a look at the fluid to make sure that it is at the right level. Other causes include using the incorrect thickness (type) of fluid and the clutch linkage or shift cables needing adjustment. The source of the problem could also be the vehicle's computer system. If you've already inspected the fluid, you can try resetting it. To do this, detach the battery and let it stand for thirty minutes. Then, reattach and allow the system to reset itself. This usually takes around thirty minutes. If this doesn't work either, then it's time to take it to a mechanic

85 toyota pickup clutch wont engage

The gear box should be okay. Check the clutch-watch if the clutch fork on the bell housing moves when someone presses the clutch. If it doesn't move, the cable needs adjusting, or if hydraulic clutch diagnose the clutch master and slave cylinders. Either one should cause the clutch fork to move and engage the clutch.

Clutch will not engage when it was engaging perfectly to begin with.

Your car has a hydraulic clutch release system, it is defective, either the master or slave cylinder is leaking or pulling in air and this causes the clutch pedal to go to the floor.

do this...

make sure the reservoir is full
engine off and pump the clutch pedal slowly about 5-10 times
while holding the pedal down have assistant open the bleeder on the master located in the trans

if you get a good squirt then your concern is the master
if no squirt then replace the slave

neither job is quick but the slave is 1/2 time

I have a 89 toyota pickup 4 speed. When I'm stopped at a stop light, and let out on the clutch it seems like it has lost pressure. When I'm shifting down the road it shifts fine. I checked the fluid and it...

this sounds like the clutch slave is goin out, this unit is on the outside of the transmission. Possibly losing pressure!! Your transmission does not use transmission fluid, but instead gear oil. Have the following checked:
1. Clutch Slave (possibly worn)-this will cause soft or hard clutch pedal feel, slipping clutch, unintended clutch release, hard gear engagement, no/insufficient clutch movement.

*2. Clutch pedal Mounting Plate (possibly cracked)-this will cause improper gear engagement, hard gear engagement, soft pedal feel, insufficient clutch movement.

*this plate is located above the clutch pedal itself, apply pressure on the pedal with one hand while inspecting the plate for fatigue cracks(use a bright flashlight). This is very common on these models. This problem will eventually get worst and most mechanics never figure this out.

if it is totally dead then it could be in your park neutral safety switch, check underneath where the clutch is housed and push in with your hand and see if it engages

Exchange the transmission fluid with a synthetic lube for easier engagement. Shift to second first before shifting to first helps as well.

2000 Toyota Clutch replacement

Whenever you have additional floor mats in the vehicle, the clutch pedal does not go to the floor. This, in turn, prevents the clutch release mechanism from releasing the clutch disc fully from the flywheel. This causes premature clutch disc wear. I would agree that you need a clutch replacement.
The replacement is pretty straight forward, as long as your guy has the ability to support & hold the engine assembly while the transmission is removed.
No big mysteries on the clutch replacement.
