we have a 2004 F350 powerstroke deisel truck that has this problem...it starts right up and goes fine for about 5 or 10 minutes, then it shuts down just like as if you had shut the key off. When you turn the key and start it up, it repeats the same thing. Besides that it is running just fine. The first question we wrote was just a type error, but this is the real question. We are in Finland and can't seem to find anybody to do the scanning...because we brought this ford with us when we came here.

Sounds like a driveability problem. However, if you don't have a dealer nearby, then that poses a problem. If you don't have access to a scanner. that's also bad Is it possible to buy an OBD-II scanner off of Ebay.com or Amazon.com? or even Walmart.com? Would there be a problem shipping it to you?

I got a scanner from Walmart and it cost me only $98 and it has plain English explanations for codes.

If your Ford F350 is shutting down a lot, I would think a code would be stored.

There are thousands of things that could cause this condition, so I am afraid to venture to guess based on what you told me.

Is the fuel you're using is Diesel, do you think it's the right formulation for your season? I noticed that Finland is near Sweden and Norway on the map.

I wish you luck in diagnosing your driveabilty problem.
