Question about 1992 Pontiac Bonneville

I have a pontiac 3.8/231 v6 and need to no which is the # 1 cylinder . I had removed the plug wires for repair and like an idiot somehow mixed them up.the plug wires plug into a ignition devise on the other end marked with the appropriote plug,but i am not sure which is # 1.

    Thanks for that info.is the #1 cylinder to the left or the right as your facing the front of the engine?

    for VIN B and 3 engines it's on the right facing the engine.



    For VIN C, 1, L and K it's on the left facing the engine.



    You may be able to click on the (x) to find the diagram that illustrates this (hopefully).

    I looked at the diagrams, again, and the front of the engine is actually facing left (the pulley is on the left) and the VIIN B and 3 engine has the cylinder #1 on the left closest to the viewer if the hood is open.



    I looked at the diagram for VIN C, 1, L, and K engines, and cylinder #1 is on the far right and far deep into the engine cavity on the driver's side.
