Question about 2002 Mitsubishi Mirage
Mitsubishi Mirage 2002 remote door control operates drivers door but does not open or close passengers door.
Passenger door can be heard to click but does not operate.
How do I remove door trim to access locking mechanism
First unscrew the handle/arm rest of the door you should see 2 little plugs cover the screws.
Then unclicp the backing plate where the inside door handle is.
Get a thin towel and turn the window winder handle till it's pointing straight up, then pull the thin towel inside of the door handle, pull it down hard so that the clip that holds it on can be removed.
Then there is a couple of screws holding the door panel on, after these are removed you should be able to just pull the door trim away.
There will be some clips on it on though but just get your hand behine the trim an pull it firmly.
Hope this helps, let me know if you need more information.
