Enter the vehicle info. then under system click on lighting , under subsystem click on exterior lighting . Click the search button , then on the blue link's one at a time !
You will need a torque angle gague to properly torque these bolts. The torque for a SOHC engine is 22lb in correct sequence on the first pass and 37lb in correct sequence on the second pass. You need then install a torque angle gague and in sequence go 90 degrees
Start by replacing the air filter and checking the operation of the fuel pressure regulator. Have the stored codes read out of your ECU, either by an auto parts store or a local mechanic, in order to ascertain a starting point for diagnosis.
You should be able to inspect the tank to see if there is any damage around the place where the rubber seal on the cap fits. If there is, it will need to be replaced.
For the 1994 VW Golf: I do not know if you have the 1.8L SOHC In-Line 4-Cylinder or the 2.0L SOHC In-Line 4-Cylinder; however I have included both below:
