Question about 2002 Kia Spectra
I have a 2002 kia spectra that the engine light came on. I was told by auto zone that it was the tps sensor' got a new one, changed it but the engine light still there' The car has been droven for about 300 miles now.
any help will be appreciated.
All I could find on the net as to why it may still come on is 1.It needs a slight adjustment 2.The electrical connector needs to be put on.Since you most likely put on the connector,it may just need slight adjustment.Isn't technology wonderful these days? What would Henry Ford think?lol. Here is what I found but no help really.
Well I googled adjust tps sensor on 2002 Kia and got nowhere. If you call a dealer, they would probably tell you how to adjust for free.If they don't,call other shops.SOMEONE is always willing to give you free advice because they want you to come back.Good luck!

Ck the mass air flow sensor plug, if it is disconnected or loose, it may cause engine light to come on. The Oxygen senson may also be out or wireing lose , ck all connections. Also i read if you take the fuze out located under the hood wait a minute then reinstall, it may reset the light.
