Question about 2000 Isuzu Rodeo

1 Answer

I have an Isuzu Rodeo 1999. The motor vibrates a lot at times when I hit the gas, as if the transmition is not engaging properly. Also, I noticed it is taking more time between up shifts, sometimes not engaging. I checked the transmition fluid and it seems ok, though it is very thin. I will appreciate any help any of you can provide.

ah, sorry, nope, all mounts check ok =( . Unless I missed one, which I better not have after spending ungodly time under that car. motor vibrates at times (not always) when I hit the gas after a stop, and only if I hit the gas medium to hard. and has it really been 7 months?!!! wow, I am slow and still have the same problem =(

In my 1999 Isuzu Rodeo with 190000 miles,,,, My interior vents are sweating and there is waterdripping on the drivers side floor... Heater core has been mentioned but when i go to autozone parts no heater...

Hi Cheryl, It looks like a small radiator, and carries the hot coolant into the cabin and is used as the heating for the cabin. If it is leaking you will notice the coolant level dropping in the radiator which cools the engine. To replace the heater core is a fairly large job. Regards Johngee10

most common is the tank sender fails. disconnect it and check for dash indication to go away, if it does, replace sending unit.

If P1627 is set when there is a problem with the fuel level sending unit, 100% sure on this problem, replace the fuel level sender in the gas tank, about 2.5 hours, very straight forward job

1999 isuzu rodeo 4wd not woking

I had this happen to a 1999 4x4 LS and my sisters boyfriend mentioned to periodically turn 4x4 on/off at least once a month.
What I did was go down a stretch of road slowly and attempt to turn it on/off till it became unstuck.
Drove around 10 miles on a road that was hardly used...to get the stupid light to quit flashing I had to put it in park and try to creep forward ---while using off settiing or put in park then reverse...while using the off -setting on 4x4. My patience paid off. They get sticky...you must be cautious... because there is a way to cause vibration and then it won't start...some deadman feature that I experienced once and the LWD must have slipped in a little and I had to look at everything.
Mine is an Automatic with the shift on the floor...that can get sticky too.

Good luck and hope this helps...mine had lots of growing pains but I get 23 mpg and it runs/idles better and the only gremlin left is some short in the dash which leaves the lights D/3 (one or both on)for the shift indicator on:)

Want to get it right the first time..

try checking the fluid level in the gearbox, rodeo dont have a dipstick so u have to undo the plug on the side of the gearbox just like a manual gearbox.if the oil is really low i suggest doing a full service on the gearbox, change the oil and filter is ideal for better results.
