SOURCE: ac not cooling well - noticed 2 days ago steam coming out of ac vents.

That was probably not steam but escaping freon coming from the vents. Probably the best course of action would be to take it to an AC repair shop.

Is it normal for my truck to smoke on a cold day even after truck has fully warmed up? Not thick smoke light white smoke thought it was suppose to stop after truck warmed up fully

white 'smoke' may be condensation (steam)? Did it do this in the summer as well? Even with a warm engine and hot exhaust the steam will still condense after it leaves the tailpipe on cold days. Your fuel contains water at microscopic level which is vaporised as part of the combustion process.

What does it mean when smoke comes out of vents on 2001 dodge. Caravan

Head Gasket is bad. That is engine water steam coming out of the vents. The head gasket, which is a fibre gasket on the engines
cylinder head. Don't be doing much driving with this condition!

Steam from the tail pipe

If the cooling system gets a lot of pressure in it,(if you can feel the
top radiator hose get hard as soon as you start the engine)
Thats bad news ,like a head gasket. If the cooling system seems
to be ok,no overheating or boilovers,it is probably just an
intake manifold gasket.Still a bit of a project on that van but
worth it.
Also ,I assume it is using water,if not it may be nothing.
Water is a by-product of combustion , all cars steam in the cold.
A vehicle that doesn't get driven on anything but short runs
wil make even more steam because moisture builds up in the
muffler and exhaust system.

Hi, i have a 2001 mk4 golf 1.4 s fitted with the axp engine. had the head gasket changed last week, all skimmed , pressure tested properly etc. got the car back and what i thought was just unburnt oil on...

I had a look at the video and it looks like steam - to confirm oil will not evaporate but steam will disappear. If it is steam you have a blown head gasket again or a crack in the head, but you definitely seem to be getting water/steam into your crankcase.

I have cold air blowing from the heater on my 2001 Gand Caravan. It will sometimes start to blow warm to kind of hot when driving but at an idle the are is cool. There is a small leak on the passenger side...

seems like you are losing pressure in the system as the coolant gets hotter it builds up pressure if you have a small leak when it gets to a certain pressure it will blow out and you lose pressure and the heater will blow cold, run the motor till it gets hot and look for coolant or steam coming out, check the coolant cap while your at it

There is smoke come in from the heat vents

Are you sure it's smoke? Usualy this is steam from a ruptured heater core. If so you are loosing coolant into the heater ducting and it will eventually overheat. If it is steam from a bad heater core it will smell like anti-freeze.

Overheat blows white smoke ( steam) from exhust on start up and runs a little ruff on cold start suspect head gasket its a 93 toyota windom 3g it has a 3vz fe

your diagnosis would seem to be correct. when a head gasket goes, coolant can leak into the combustion chamber where the coolant turns to steam and vents to the exhaust.

Smoke or steam coming from vents, not overheating, codes read 12 and 43.

I think it probably is the heater core leaking. As the water eats up to boiling point small cracks will allow steam to escape. Probably smells like coolant.
