Manal over drive will not work

When you say over drive, do you mean disabling the over drive or enabling it. (does it shift into fourth gear?) In a care of the age it is possible that there is a burnt bulb in the gauge cluster. When you turn the key to the on position (with out starting) does the overdrive light illuminate?

2003 sebring 2.4l ck engin light on code po340 can you help

P0340 - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction

This indicates that a problem was detected in the camshaft position sensor circuit. Since it says circuit, that means the problem could lie in any part of the circuit - the sensor itself, the wiring, or the PCM. Don't just replace the CPS (camshaft position sensor) and think that will definitely fix it.

Symptoms can include:
* Hard starting or no start
* Rough running / misfiring
* Loss of engine power

Causes: A code P0340 could mean one or more of the following has happened:
* a wire or connector in the circuit could be grounded/shorted/broken
* the camshaft position sensor may have failed
* the PCM may have failed
* there exists an open circuit
* the crankshaft position sensor may have failed

Possible Solutions: With a P0340 OBD-II trouble code, diagnosis can be tricky at times. Here are some things to try:
* Visually inspect all the wiring and connectors in the circuit
* Check for continuity in the circuit wiring
* Check the operation (voltage) of the camshaft position sensor
* Replace the camshaft position sensor as required
* Check the crankshaft position circuit as well
* Replace circuit wiring and/or connectors as required
* Diagnose/replace the PCM as required

Test it and keep us updated.

My 2005 Nissan Altima will turn over but doesn't start. After several attempts, it eventually starts. Battery is only a month old. Once it is warm, it starts a little easier, but still struggles some. ...

If you haven't changed your fuel filter, I would start with that. Hopefully your engine didn't jump timing. If you have never had your timing belt changed, you should go ahead and get that changed.

I’m happy to help further over the phone at

Multiple engine malfunctions

Bad ground on a wiring harness, check all your ground connections around the engine and under the car on the frame. any wire that is attached to the engine or frame, make sure all is clean and tight. usually a bad ground somewhere will make em go haywire like that. if all is well then have the ecm checked.

My 97 buick runs cold stalls when hot wont start for 1 hour

Sounds like it is fuel related. Ck fuel pressure to be sure. Also ck the pressure regulator on the fuel rail, It is a small metal cylinder at the end of the fuel rail to ck pull to vacumn line off (hot not running after shutting the engine off). If there is fuel in the vacumn line it is bad. Good luck
