How to knock sensor location

you didn't state specific engine so here is a run down of locations
on a 4 cylinder engine there are 2 knock sensors located on the inlet side of the block adjacent to no 1 and 4 cylinders ( cross way motor)
on a v6 engine( crossway engine) they are in the valley of the block ( probably under the inlet manifold system) at 2 and 5 cylinder positions
on a v8 they will be located adjacent to 4 cylinder and between 6 and 8 cylinder on one side and adjacent to 3 cylinder and between 5 and 7 cylinder on the other side

Where is the intake valve located on a 1988 GMC Jimmy Blazer - I dont even know what one looks like - sorry some girls just dont know that much about cars/truck - but I am trying to learn.

the intake valves are deep inside the engine, it is part of what is called a cylinder head, there is one valve (some engines have 2) for each cylinder of the engine, a V6 has 6, a V8 has 8, what is the problem?
