Some vehicle's cooling radiator fan does not turn on untill needed. If your Temperature Gauge is working as far as you know, Try running your car for over 10 miles; the fan should start working. If not, check your fuses. You can also try to directly connect the radiator colling fan motor to the battery and see if the fan works. If not, the fan motor may not be working.

The cooling fans won't turn on..

Did you try your radiator fan relay ? if thats not it i would try the coolant temp switch for the engine control computer . lastly if those dont solve the problem you have ecu issues or the cooling fan module.

Fan won't kick on a 2006 dodge magnum. want to know where to look for the fuse.

you need to check the fuses in the panel both under the dash and under the hood.if these are okay then you will have to check the fan itself to make sure the fan is working.other things are the fan relay and temp sensor that tell the pcm to turn on the cooling fans,if you are talking about the rad cooling fan.

Radiator fans wont come on

bobblevinsbu, You need to check the fuses first, especially the maxi fuses in the engine compartment. If these are good then try switching the fan relay with the horn relay. They are usually the same number so it is okay to do this. When you do this try the horn and if it works then the relay is fine. You should switch them back again and try the horn once again. If the relay and fuses are okay them disconnect the fans and apply direct power to them from the battery using jumper wires. If the fans operate while using this method then they are fine. If not then the fans need to be replaced. Finally the PCM gets a signal fron the engine coolant temperature (ECT)sensor located near the upper radiator hose where it connects to the engine. When this signal is recieved by the computer it will command the fans to turn on. If this is faulty then it needs to be replaced. First try to jiggle the wires going to the sensor when the engine is hot and you think the fans should be on. If you have a tester that will test resistance then probe the sensor pins and check what the readings are when the engine is hot and cold. There should be a significant difference. If not then the sensor needs to be replaced. Also try turning the AC on (engine running) and check the fans, they should be working when you do this. Good luck with this.

2006 Dodge Magnum keeps overheating

Observe the car's engine as it runs for 10 minutes to ensure that the electric fan for the radiator is coming on, if not either the fan relay, fan's coolant temp. sensor, or the fan itself is bad, try the relay first it is the least expensive, if this is the type of vehicle that has no electric fan replace the clutch fan.
