Question about 2001 Ford Taurus
There should be a fuse in the fuse box. This may not be the problem. It may be a broken power wire. This usually happens at the flex point of the wiring harness where you open & close the driver's side door. Slice back the outer casing carefully & expose the wires. Look for any that look broken or frayed. Repair by using solder & retaping or use heat shrink rap if available. Good luck!
