If you sell more than five vehicles in a calendar year in Tennessee, you must have a dealer license.

You can also read up on it on the link below.

My Grand Am which is in excellent condition,I want to sell it now and it just started to overheat and it seemed to work for a few weeks.... and said its the start of the head gasket.Need to "fix"it

In most states knowingly selling a vehicle that needs a major repair and not disclosing it is against the law and can result in severe fines/prison time.

Just bought renault senic dash board says check airbag what do l do

Don't know what the laws are where you are at, but did you buy it from a dealer or private party? If you bought from a dealer, he may be required to fix or replace. If it was a private party, their have been gangs of Ukraineians selling cars with no airbags and such. Hope it was a dealer. Take in to have it looked at. Many states have laws for this kind of thing, and a lot have buyers remorse laws that let you take it back.

Is the internet article about the 60 year old pristene house true. It says it wasnt lived in for 60 years and yet still has pristine appliances. What happened to rust?

If you mean the kitchen with the pink exterior, you might want to ask the person that bought the house in 2010 directly. He's still selling the unused appliances.

What is the benefit of purchasing a used car?

For me personally---- NONE

I have ONLY bought new vehicles & ordered them
from the factory, since I was 19 years old
That is 50 years running
BUT--I keep them 18 years & do ALL my own work

Your getting someone else's abused vehicle

People NEVER change the oil, spark plugs, fluids,
they do nothing & you can not do that with today's
technology

If your buying a used vehicle, it has to be no more than
3 or 4 years old
You can not believe anything your told, about anything,
pertaining to a vehicle
You can not trust a dealer, as they add about $4,000
to what they take the vehicle in for
A used car lot, I have no idea,I wouldn't even go to one

Your best to buy privately & go to a persons home, only,
and have a list of questions

You MUST get an owners manual
It MUST be one owner
IT MUST have no more than 12,000 per year on it
So 45,000 miles or pass
If the transmission fluid has NOT been changed EVERY
3 years PASS,PASS,PASS, as it will fail before 100,000

Could write a book & go on all night

I am looking for a car. I live in San Jose, CA. It doesn't have to be Honda. I have a fix income and I can not afford over $3,000.

Go to the library and get a consumer report and look in the back and they will give you a list of reliable vehicles with the price range. Then go on line and look under Auto trader for that year and make. Compare the price on Kelley's blue book to make sure that you are in the right price range, then try to buy off of a private owner, not a young person, not that i am bias, but young people don't get rid of good cars, they get rid of bad ones. Also, keep in mind that dealers is where people go to get rid of their junk when they are fed up with it and a private owner doesn't want you in his/her face when a vehicle fails, so they won't sell you a lemon, most of the time this is a good rule to follow.

Person selling me her car is not able to remember her entry code

Most cars are sold with a default code, if she never changed it then you may be in luck. Armed with the chassis VIN number it should be possible to ask the dealer to find from their records the entry code originally supplied with the vehicle and this may be the same one that is still in use. The story seems a bit strange however. Make really sure that the person selling the car is the same person who actually owns it and not selling "on behalf of an absent friend". Ensure that all documents, ownership slips and current motor insurance, are present and that they all pertain to the exact car and the person selling it to you. It is highly irregular for someone to forget their entry code of if it is their own regular transport. Proceed with caution my friend, you do want to buy a car that is potentially stolen so carry out the checks. 'Forgetting the code' is a big red flag! If you feel uncomfortable just walk away there are a million other cars out there just waiting for you.

Always sell the car with a bill of sale and write as is. You keep a copy for **** like this. A light on will cause it to fail an inspection and you probably know that. Buying Used From a Private Seller Private sellers often charge less for used cars than dealers, but they rarely offer any type of after sale warranty. If a problem arises with the car, your only recourse may be a lawsuit. Take precautions and inspect the vehicle completely. Ask the seller why they are selling the car. Ask where the car has been serviced and if there are any records that you can review. Ask if the car has passed inspection in the current year. Inspect the title to make sure you are dealing with the owner of the vehicle.

Call your state Dept of Motor Vehicles. By law he has to furnish the title or give you your money back. So this guy has a car lot? office? Never pay for a car without the title in your hand.

I KNOW THAT MARYLAND HAS A LAW FOR MECHANICS THAT IF THEY DON'T PAY THEAR BILL FOR A CERTIAN LENGHTH OF TIME THE MECHANIC CAN PUT A LEAN ON THE VEHICAL AND THEY CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT WITH THE VEHICAL, SELL IT WHAT EVER TO GET THEAR MONEY BACK, AFTER YOU HOLD THE VEHICAL SO LONG THE PRICE FOR THE TOWING CHARGES MAY OUT WEIGH THE BANKS PRICE FOR THE CAR AND THEY JUST MITE RELEASE THE VEHICAL TO THE TOWING COMPANY. CHECK YOUR LOCAL LAWS FOR THIS AND SEE
