I had to replace my car's computer and my mechanic found a computer out of another car and only charged me under 175 installed. Just a thought. He said he can get off brand also for a lot cheaper than brand makes. My used one works well.

Hold light on pontiac g3

Check your fluid levels. If they are okay you might be due for a filter change/service. If not, there is a chance one of the shift solinoids are acting up. Generally, these problems can't be fixed without some specific tools.

Have someone check the computer for trouble codes. The flashing light means the problem is serious enough to cause damage to the catalytic converter.

Flashing hold and engine light on

When the Check Engine light (or Service Engine Soon or small picture of an engine) is turned on, the systems computer control unit (called the PCM) has sensed a fault in the electronic controls of the engine and/or the emission system. When this happens you will seldom feel the car engine run any different. There are about 200 possible system faults (the gas cap is just one of them) that turn the Check Engine light on, to know what has developed a problem you must have the system tested, this is called an OBD2 fault code test

Hi ! I have a g3 and I would like to reset the sensor for the oil because I change my own oil at home. thank you

Read your owners manual. Turn engine off, then turn key to ON position. Depress brake three times slowly within five seconds and then turn key OFF. Then turn key ON. The oil change light should be reset. Who knows. The "GM" was made in Korea. Lots of luck. Now, if I could just figue out how to turn off the "blinking hold light". What a mess.
