1. To reset MAINT reminder light after engine oil replacement, turn ignition switch to OFF position with odometer reading showing. Turn ignition switch to ON position while holding down trip meter RESET button.
2. Hold trip meter RESET button down for at least 5 seconds. Odometer should indicate "000000" and MAINT reminder light goes out.

My toyota corolla 2006 model has the maint. required lights on. what does that mean?

It means your car needs an oil change, based on mileage. If you take your car to get the oil changed, they can reset the light for you. If you want the light off now, try holding in the odometer reset button, with the key on but engine off, until little dashes appear then one by one dissapear. This procedure may need to be done either on the odometer total mileage or trip A mileage or trip B mileage.

Step 1: Have car off.

Step 2: Push and hold in trip reset button.

Step 3: While still holding button in, turn key to ON, but engine off. Wait for the little dashes to appear and disapear. If it doesn't work on the odometer setting. before turning key off, switch to Trip A setting. If the procedure doesn't work on the odometer setting or Trip A, try Trip B setting.

Step 4: Turn key off. Then start car. Maint. required light should be off.

My Highlander has the (MAINT REQUEST) ligth on. how I can reset it?

The maint req'd light goes on when your vehicle is due for an oil change. If you've recently changed your oil - sometimes your mechanic won't reset the built in tracking settings for when you are due for another oil change. Here's how you can reset it.

Turn ignition to "ACC" and press the odometer button until the display reads actual mileage (not Trip A or B).
Turn ignition off.
Hold the same button down that you used in step 1.
While holding the button, turn ignition to 'ON'.
The 'Maint Reqd' light should blink and go out.
Done!

TO RESET THE MAINTENANCE REMINDER ON HONDA RIDGELINE 07-08 TRUCKS.
1. Turn ignition switch to ON (II) position. 2. Press SELECT button repeatedly until engine oil life display or service message is displayed. 3. Press the RESET button for about 10 seconds. A "MAINT RESET" message will appear. Select appropriate answer - "MAINT RESET >N" (NO) or "MAINT RESET >Y" (YES) by pressing the select button. Resetting the oil change monitor in the information centre after an oil change

With the van on, (it does not have to be running.) press the maint button untill the oil miles is showing. Hold down the maint button untill it resets. You can also press the joystick over left or right to set the amount of miles between oil change. Trip reset should do the same as well for the oil and tires.
