Get the O2 sensors checked. A bad o2 sensor CAN make you have bad gas mileage. If its bad it will tell your computer to mix the air/fuel wrong and CAN make your mileage go bad.If O2 sensor checked ok.then get the vacuum checked. If there is any vacuum leak then this can be the possibility for low gas mileage and car hesitation.Check the vacuum hoses too. An engine will often hesitate, or stumble, during acceleration due to the effects of bad gas. Engine hesitation often occurs as the result of incomplete engine combustion, which can be caused by bad gas, in addition to fuel delivery problems and spark plug misfires. Typically, bad gas that has insufficient octane, which reduces its combustibility, is the most likely type of gas to produce engine hesitation.
engine needs a combination of both gasoline and air in order to start and run. Clean, high-quality gas is necessary to maximize engine operation. Bad gas can seriously disrupt normal engine operation .
check the fuel system. Get the fuel pressure checked. If its less then its quite possible that fuel pump needs to be replaced and fuel filter is got clogged.clean the injectors.if its leaking then it needs replacement.
Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

When your driving the car hesitates sometimes real bad and sometimes a little bit and when the car is idleing the engine hesitates a little bit

that can be anything from a bad spark plug to a bad spark plug wire. check your spark plugs, plug wires, coil pack or packs, and if nothing comes up there your timing blet or chain might have sliped.

Engine hesitation, the trac off light comes and car hesitates.

This is just a shot... Get a Can of "SeaFoam" and pour it into your gas tank with a full tank of gas. Then take it for a "Spirited" drive on the freeway or highway for at least 30 minutes to an hour. (Longer is better) i have had many cars with a little hesitation or sputtering fixed with this awsome product. it is a very powerful cleaner that has chemicals that other brands simply do not have. Conditions should have improved after your 1 hour drive. and will continue to improve as you continue to drive with that treated tank of gas. If the problem persists then you need to get the OBD trouble codes and let it direct you to the failed part. At least you would rule dirt "Out of the Question" (Also read the can for other things that Seafoam can fix on your car and how to use it) also does wonders for a couple cap-fuls in the lawn-mower...Chainsaw....Snowblower...etc i Hope this helps you out... Good Luck!
