Question about 2000 Ford Taurus
This sounds like a poss fuel pump problem, do this test, get a can of spray starting fluid from any auto parts store, when it won't start remove the hose to the engine from the air filter and spray some starting fluid in while the engine is cranked, if it starts then u have a sticking electric fuel pump, the other thing u need to do is get the electronic engine control computer tested for fault codes, any Kragen or Autozone does this for free, these codes will help narrow down any problem in the system.
