The line hooks up onto th eair intake, look for another plastic fitting that is ment to have a rubber hose on it. Usually it is on the air cleaner box if it has throtle body injection. Hope this helps!

The PCV valve hose runs from the manifold to the filler cap. It is there to suck the combustion pressure out of the sump on throttle manuplitation

Line that goes from pcv to carb

It would be called a PCV hose, or an Engine Ventilation hose.
It directs engine crankcase fumes into the carby, air intake system.

Is the pcv valve replaceable in the 2001 Sunfire 2.2L engine or is it built in to the valve cover

Yes the PCV can be replaced. It seals into a rubber grommet in the valve cover. See pitcure of valve below.

Were is the pcv valve on a 2005 ford freestar

pcv valve is located on the valve cover of the engine. you will see a line running close to the middle of the valve cover gently pull the line out of the valve cover, the pcv valve will be on the end of the line. take out the pcv shake it, if it rattles it is okay, if you don`t hear a rattle it needs to be replaced. Also I personally would change the pcv valve every 25,000 to 30,000 miles because they are usually inexpensive.

Check engine soon light on ,throwing code p0174 running lean on bank 2, on a f150 pickup. what would cause this?

Engine size???? The most common cause for that code is a PCV line leaking vac. Check the PCV line form the right valve cover, to the back of the intake manifold. Where the line hooks to the manifold is a rubber connector, and thats where they leak. Note the number thats on the line, the dealer will need that as there are 20 different PCV lines. If the line is ok, you have different problems and a repair shop will need to ck it for you.

There is a air line supposed to hook up to the oil filler cap and goes to where? And also to check the timing where do you hook up the timing light and do you have to plug any vaccum hoses, also what is...

There's a rubber hose that goes from the oil fill cap to either the air cleaner or to the air intake hose between the air cleaner and the throttle body. It's for the PCV system. There's also a small filter inside the air cleaner on some models, and another hose and PCV valve that goes from the valve cover to the intake manifold. There should be a emissions system sticker under the hood some where that shows all the lines, and lists the specs for spark plugs and ignition timing. You hook the timing light to the #1 spark plug wire, disconnect and plug the vacuum line to the distributor. Set timing to 10 degrees BTDC.
