SOURCE: 2000 Jeep Cherokee Air Conditioner

If compressor isn't kicking in, check the connector atop the a/c accumulator, beside the coolant recover tank, in the engine compartment. That connector is atop a black bottle, and the connector goes to the low pressure switch. These switches do fail, and you can jump a wire across the connector terminals to see if the compressor comes on (engine running). As this circuit provides part of the ground path from the compressor clutch, if the switch is open, the compressor will never turn on. If the switch is failed, it can be replaced without opening the a/c system. Just disconnect the connector, unscrew the switch, replace it, and reconnect the connector.

SOURCE: location of the evaporative cannister solenoid? 2003 saturn vue

Depends if the engine is 3.0 or a 2.2?
3.0 purge is on the top, back side of the intake. Black, cylinder. Looks the same on a 2.2, but is located next to the air filter.

SOURCE: 2003 Kia sedona a/c

Our Sedona had a similar problem, Turned out that the pipes to the rear heater had corroded and were leaking, caused some overheating which blew hot air when the A/C was on. I would check this then check the coolant pressure.

2009 Saturn Vue message flashing "low oil

The obvious answer is the engine has low oil pressure.
Assuming the engine oil level is ok, someone would need to check engine oil pressure with a mechanical gauge to find out if the problem is the engine or the oil pressure switch.

How do you check air conditioner freon level? Is

No sight glass on the Saturn system. to know if it's low you would have to install a gage set and connect to the suction and high side of AC to determine if it is low on refrigerant or not. If the suction side has 30 PSI and pressure side is 285 PSI would indicate slightly low. So if it was about right like I mentioned You could have a plugged receiver dryer. You need the tools to do this job because of the expense of the tools to test the system.

My dad needs to change the thermostat in my 2003 saturn vue AWD

Check "maintenance" Or other headings that are similar. Using a Haynes manual? Sometimes their stuff is all over the book and not where you'd expect it to be. To relieve fuel pressure find if you have a schrade valve (looks like a tire valve) under a cap on the fuel rail. Put a rag under it and cover the top so it does not spray.
Generally to keep system from becoming air bound, fill with engine running and heater on high, allow for thermostat to open and top off when level drops.

Check the fan relay, probably in fuse box in the engine compartment. Check owners manual to be sure. I have seen these melt causing fan to run all the time.
