Question about 2009 Nissan Murano

I have a 2008 nissan Rogue 2.5 wont acelerate has to codes PO746 & PO868 start the engine engine will rev up when pressing acelerator put it drive wont go mre than 5 mph? any Ideas, fuel problem, plug exhaust, trans in limp mode??

    codes were cleared, start engine put into gear no power to go anywhere no codes in system.mass air flow sensor is clean. 2 days ago it did this then was fine, yeserday it loss power when driving and had the 2 codes. ???

    that would explain why it acted up then was ok for 2 days now it loss power and wont move..

    Yes the PO746 code verified the trans needed to come out.. Thanks for verifing the problem was internal to the transmission not the engine..

P0746: Solenoid A malfunction code.
Pressure Control Solenoid Performance or Stuck Off

This is internal to the transmission and needs repair. Likely a line pressure issue, and the vehicle will not shift until it is repaired. This requires a repair AND an ECM flash/reprogram....

Unexpected gear ratio was detected in the LOW side due to excessively low line pressure.

Possible Cause

Line pressure control system
Output speed sensor (Secondary speed sensor)
Input speed sensor (Primary speed sensor)

Unfortunately - this will require a new transmission




P0868: Transmission fluid pressure low (related to the above issue.)

Hi! May I ask if you tried resetting the PCM (powertrain control module)? Used to have a client with the same issue and the cure was to reset the PCM. If no luck on the PCM reset then the problem will be on the PCM itself, you will have to replace it for it to work. But since its a 2008 model I believe that the PCM wont be faulty, a reset may do the trick. Please do write back on the progress. Hope this helps and have a good one!

    Thanks for the clarification. If thats the case then the limp mode may have been triggered.

    What is the limp mode. My '08 altima shifts fine when cold but well not after I drive for 10 plus miles. I have a po746 fault and 4 possilbliteies show. Low fluid level. Open or short circuit, poor connection to what does not say on read and failed solenoid. This did start happening till the car got stuck in snow and was trying to get it unstuck. Course all the revving and shifting was involved. Any help.

There should be a check engine light on.You will need to retrieve the diagnostic coded from the computer to help you pin point why this is occurring. Go to autozone they will do this for free.

dont go to mr transmission. I have had to go back 15 times then i finnaly sold the car because they recked it. sounds like a speedo sensor or the sterio installer cut the wrong wire

When the service engine soon light (Also called the check engine light) is turned on this is to alert you to the fact that powertrain control module (computer) has detected a failure somewhere in the systems it controls, there are fault codes set in the modules memory for these faults. What needs to happen now is to have the powertrain control module scanned with a special tool called an OBD2 electronic engine control scanner or a OBD2 code reader. Once the code(s) are read then you must perform the diagnostics for each code and make the appropriate repairs based on the findings of the diagnosis that was performed, this is called doing "Pinpoint" testing.

Error in sensor throttle sensor nissan tiida engine HR15 , leak power in aceleration , variation aceleration , need part for replace throttle sensor


Go to Auto Parts Store and purchase TPS Sensor.
Only if you know that is your vehicles problem.
Codes alone, don't always tell you what is wrong, and what to replace.
Most people are starting to believe it's that simple.

Nissan truck idles fine, does not acelerate well, and misses


Try to disconnect MAF sensor(mass air flow sensor) or MAP sensor (manifold absolute pressure) , I don't know which one you have , (suppose to have either one) , when engine running and see if it becomes any better , if it did , then it's your problem.
Just remember one thing , if your check engine light is off now , it will be on after you disconnect any above mentioned components.
Easy to reset , disconnect battery for 30 sec.

Engine has a knocking noise when acelerating from a complete stop.


If is does it if you rev the engine in park it may have a bad engine. If only in gear it may have a bad drive axle which is making noise.

I broke down and purchased a new crank shaft sensor . It cost $15000 hated to spend it because everbody told me they just don't fail , and why would it when it worked fine before the motor was rebuilt. IT FIXED IT.
