Here is how it has to be done without costing you a bunch of money - Every time the battery is disconnected this has to be done: If you have jumped or replaced the battery at anytime this will happen. You have to get the serial number off the radio by removing it or partially taking it out to see the numbers on it try not to remove any cords. With the stereo out (to make sure you get the right number off of it) call an Acura dealership with the number and they will give you the another number to enter into the stereo and directions on how to punch the numbers in. Make sure while you have the stereo out you write the serial number down and keep it in a safe place also the number that the Acura dealership gives you because if you sell the car or if it happens again its easily accessible. Good Luck!

First thing to try is disconnected the battery for 20 min. Then reconnect the battery. It may reset the computer. You will have to re-enter the radio code.

My trip computer and radio blacked out when I plugged a charger into the 9v-12v socket located under the arm rest. No fuse are blown. How can I fix this problem? Thanks (2003 Acura MDX)

Some acuras are known to have power hassles when you do something like this or disconnect the battery. Check with the dealer for the reset code to restore operation to radio and trip computer.

Yeaterday, my 2002 Acura MDX Navagation system began constant resetting and cycling into the power-up sequence. Just prior to that, it was taking a *long* time to do things, when reacting to a button being...

I had posted the similar problem with my 2002 Navi. It turned out to be a bad DVD/base unit. Unfortunately, just about all of the advice posted here was incorrect. The DVD unit is basically a complete computer and it sends raw video signals to the display unit just like a PC sends video to an LCD display; when the computer dies or is off, the display goes blank. So, any problems with sluggish or unusual behavior indicates the base unit is going bad. In my case, it was so dead that it couldn't event eject the DVD - I had to literally take the DVD drive apart to get my disc out. I bought a used Navi DVD base unit online from "acurahondatech" on eBay. This guy was great; he helped me diagnose the problem and found the right unit to work with my model MDX. I highly recommend him.

2003 Acura MDX Audio and trip controls don't come on.

look in the fuse box on the passender side kick panel it's the blue 15 amp fuse in the top row all the way toward the front of the car second or 3rd slot marked power outlet . Be sure to check for coins or a bad phone charger before changing the fuse.
