The high speed circuit is burned out on your radiator fan motor, replace the fan motor and the ac should work just fine

Can a bad deferential cause steering issue on 2002 envoy


I am assuming your mechanic was refering to the front differential and your vehicle is 4x4. If the vehicle is in 4x4 all the time you may notice a " hopping " feeling on corners from the front wheels. Otherwise, the differential should not cause steering issues. What type of problem is the vehicle experiencing that concerns you and would lead your mechanic to assess a bad diff?

I've replaced upper ball joint both, cv axles both. And my expedition still clunks and jerks when I turn corners. Why?


We can't guess for you

The bottom ball joints usually go on those vehicles

Can't the shop that did the work tell you why?

Your not replacing worn parts obviously

Any experienced person to road test & inspect
under it, can resolve that problem

First & only suggestion I have, is get rid of it, and any van type vehicle

They all are unsafe in an accident

Having once owned a trans repair shop, I will tell you they all have bad
transaxles & that is what you have

It is tens years old,the trans was done no matter what vehicle you bought

You mentioned water in headlight & more issues

That vehicle is going to cost too much to straighten out --- UNLESS
you do (100%) 100% of ALL WORK yourself & the trans is not something you can do yourself or even install one

Its sounds like it might be the ignition switch but I don't have enough info, year make model engine trans etc.

1999 Honda Civic LX Stalling/Overheating!!!


(I don't know much about cars so bear with me).

I've had problems of overheating previously where my car's thermostat would hit 140. I think I've fixed the issue, I've replaced the thermostat but it was still doing that and 2 hoses blew and needed to be replaced. I've had to consistently fill my radiator with 50/50 antifreeze on a daily basis to ensure it won't overheat, so far that seems to be keeping the peace.

But now as of 5 days ago, I'm experiencing these new issues of stalling. Upon taking my civic into my mechanic, his meter showed that there was a misfire in the 2nd cylinder a month prior and now all 4 are misfiring. He thought it was the head gasket at first. I had just recently replaced the spark plugs with NGK Platinums, new spark plug wires and a new distributor cap.

I've received many possible culprits to my problem consisting of possibly the Throttle Position Sensor, Fuel Filter/Injection, Distributor or a radiator cap. I'm financially strapped at the moment and only could afford the radiator cap which didn't solve anything, however my radiator is running on 80% water at the moment. I'm really at a loss and I feel like I've done what I could and I'm at my wits end. Please help my poor little Civic cheat death for a little longer.

First try replacing the Relay for the system. If that doesnt work check/replace the pressure and temp switch on the drier. The 124 body style have issues with A/C overall so dont be too frustrated. Also in the short term try turning the temp wheel to max cold (blue dot) and restarting the car. Sometimes it will force the relay and compressor to lock on while driving. Also be aware if your Aux Electric fans dont come on the system doesnt get cooled properly and will not stay on.

Your mechanic can't tell you what happened? Very strange. I would suspect that the engine threw a rod to knock a hole in the block. Your mechanic should at a minimum be able to connect to the PCM and retrieve the freeze frame data to see if your vehicle experienced a fatal drop in oil pressure, etc. Additionally I've never experienced a service contract provider refuse simply outright refuse to pay to have the vehicle fixed myself. I have had vehicles come in where the previous "mechanic" simply didn't have the knowledge to diagnose the issue.

It's hard to say what happened without more information. Detailed information - what were you doing when it happened? How had the vehicle been driven prior to the incident? When was the last oil change?
