check the vacuum line to the booster for leaks a loss of vacum will cause hard breaking listen closely for a hissing sound when aplying breaks if you hear this when breaks are hard to press you will probably need a new booster.

Why does my car turn itself off when i hit the brakes too hard??

to much vacum release. check all your lines for hardness, cracks, breaks, being an 89 I recommend that you replace all the vacum lines

I had a low brake pedal so i changed the master cylinder but after the change pedal is higher but seems to be hard to push like i have no vacume fo the booster

did you hook the back blast valve back up to the booster mon........ also check the plastic valve in the line to the booster to make sure its working if that don;t fix it then either you have a bad booster or you put the wrong master cylinder on it cause the one for standard breaks? the hole in the end of the master cylinder isnt as deep and the one for power breaks

Lost the power breaks

i would agree you must be haveing probem with vacum there should be a hose that runs from the brake booster if theres no leak there it must be the brake booster

Brakes brake pedal is hard to push

Chk. to see if you got vacume to break booster, If there is than i would say the booster is bad. When you have to push hard on break peddel means either the booster is bad or there is no vacume to booster. I really don't understand the secound part of your question, Do you mean there are no bleeders on the rear breaks? or you can't get fluid to bleeders in the rear? If you can't get any fluid to the rear breaks, you could have a master cyl. problem too.

Brake light on, power brakes seem gone

Chk. for vacume to booster, or loss of vacume like a break in vacume hose, do you hear a hissing noise when you step on break peddel. If you don't hear anything chanses are its the booster. When peddel gets hard to push you either lost vacume or booster went bad.

Sputtering and intermittent acceleration

sounds like your break booster is not working. you might have a major leak of vacume there. no vacume at booster and break pedel will be hard. that will also make it feel like it dosent have any power. chk. vacume filter in line going to booster see if pluged, if its got one. if not then i would say booster is bad.

Wont shift into low when stopping

well the taking off in second could be a sensor or vacume line...but when you step down on the gas real hard it is suppose to shitf to low that would be your kick down vacume line..
