Question about Hyundai Sonata

1 Answer

I have a hyundai sonata 2006 gls 4-cyl automatic. The left turn signal started blinking rapidely, which I took to mean the flasher was going bad. So I ordered a new one and replaced it. No change, but then, on another trip later on, it worked. It worked fine for 2 days, then again this morning it was back to flashing rapidly. help?

Make sure all the bulbs involved on the left are working and are the normal brightness. When a bulb is drawing more current it makes the flasher cycle quicker because it heats quicker. A bad ground or corrosion will cause it.

Interior lights won't turn off in my 2012 sonata

typically there is a switch on the light or a control on your dash dimmer control. If adjusting the switch with the door shut does not turn off the light within a couple minutes then the switch bad and would need to be replaced.

.. Hi there.
This is a typical earth problem. Some of the lights use the same earth and when some of the earth points are not good, the power go through the other lights. That is why some lights go's faster, it's all about resistants. Check all the earth points in the light holders and under the dash and also between the battery, engine and body. Good luck.

Check all the bulbs to make sure they are working. Usually when a turn signal stays on solid or blinks fast it means that a bulb has blown. Its the cars way of telling you that a bulb is bad. If they are all good then it will probably be a flasher relay that has gone bad.

My Hyundai Sonata GLS, with 2.5 Liter 6 cyl.

You cannot, First thing you need to do is get the codes using a diagnostic scanner that is able to access the airbag module. Your basic code reader will not do this. The code will tell you what airbag has an issue. If your a smoker in the car most likley the ASH destroyed the clockspring under the steeing wheel.

Flasher

When 1 is inop and the other rapidly blinks that generally means a bad ground to the front light if you can't find it just attach another ground wire to the bulb socket and see if the light blinks normal.
