Question about Acura RSX

1 Answer

Please help !!! I got the same problem: RSX engine bay rattle at lower rpm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rmm7mLJQ4Ms It seems as if the noise is coming from the upper passenger side of the engine and is really just annoying/frustrating me. I figure if it is a valve noise that the noise would continue throughout the rpm band, the same if the timing chain tensioner was lose. I have found that the noise is most intense if I put the car a gear like 3rd at a low speed and accelerate and when in 1st gear accelerating slow or fast from a stop.

the link below is interesting you could run a fuel line from the engine bay if it is an electric pump through a fuel filter and then back into the fuel tank
or put fuel into a container and let it settle and then siphon the top of the fuel minus the water back into the fuel tank

Wondering if there is more than one fuse for operating power windows on a 1994 ford explorer sport

check under the bonnet in engine bay for a plastic box with relays in it. Check the voltage going to the sockets that the relay sits in when you push the power window button. Use a cheap 12 V probe (google it or go to a car shop like repco to get one) it lights up when + 12 V found. there may be fuses there as well.
cheap probe looks like this

How do you aim headlights on 1998 subaru forester

Each Headlight should have 2 adjusters directly behind where the lamp assy is fitted inside the engine bay. 1 will screw in or out to adjust the headlight left to right, the other adjusts up or down.

What is the idle rpm for a 1999 chevy s10 2.2l?

The engine being a 4 cylinder Inline 2.2Lt I'm guessing around the 850RPM mark, i.e. it's what I'de be starting at, then try and lower it by some tweaking process (Only cause I hate wasting fuel) as long as it idles smoothly and uses less then great.
You can also if not satisfied join a forum like in link and ask for assistance, maybe even ring GM Service, here in AUS they're quite helpful, you just might have to be patient for help especially if over the phone enquiry.

Good Luck

I?ll add this; In addition to what my friend rejakwilson just said; I suggested that you check the performance of your electric Alternator; It seems it's NOT producing enough Volts. It must produce at least 13.7 volts with some loads ON. Such head light, air-condition ON. Alternator produces between 13.7- 14.8 volts to power the car accessories & charging the battery. Don't forget to clean or replace the fuel screen which is attached in the bottom of the fuel pump inside your fuel tank. you can access some fuel pump/filter assy. thru inside of your car aft cabin under the aft seat, that is what is called internal fuel screen; however: there is another external filter some time underneath RH side of your vehicle, & some time in the engine compartment. In some applications a check engine light is triggered by the odometer. Requires the dealer to reset. If no ODBII faults are present, the only sensors that are subject to physical wear are the TPS(throttle position sensor) and the 02 sensor(oxygen sensor). These 2 sensors are relatively cheap and should be replaced due to age(2000). To maintain optimum performance, I do 3 things, every 30,000 miles. 1) Change the Air Filter. 2) Replace Fuel Filter and 3) Add a can of B&G44K to a full tank of fuel. The B&G is the best on the market and will condition your fuel pump and injectors. It is available only through dealerships(11.00 a can at Toyota) and should not be substituted. These 3 things are your path to cheap performance and fuel economy
