Where is the tcm located on a 2001 jeep grand cherokee limited 4wd

Better late than never, I guess.

Transmission Control Module (tcm) is located on the right (passenger) side of the engine compartment near the firewall, mounted to the inner fender.

I have grand cherokee 2001 limited the code p0700 is apper the gear is started scend shift espically in morinig

possible causes
Shorted or open circuit within Transmission Control Module (TCM)
- Faulty Transmission Control Module (TCM)
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Driveability problems
- Transmission shifting problems
p0700 description
The transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. When the TCM detects a malfunction with the control, a signal is send to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to trigger the Engine Light or Service Engine Soon light. The ECM stores the P0700 code and it means the TCM detected a malfunction with the transaxle controls.

2001 Nissan PAthfinder 4-wheel drive malfunctioning'

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

Legend of Abbreviations. ABS Antilock brake system.TCS Traction control system, TCM Transmission control module, SRS Supplemental restraint system, BCM Body control module

2001 nissan maxima won't engage in D

This engine and the transmission in this car are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM or TCM for the transmission, when problems like this occur fault code or codes are set in the PCM/TCM memory. What must be done now is to have the memory read to retrieve this fault code. This is called a system scan, the system is called the OBD2 electronic engine control system. Based on the results of the fault codes you perform diagnostics and repair the problem, that can be a sensor, wiring or even in rare cases the PCM/TCM has failed.

What is tcm internal memory error. Check engine came on. Code is p0605

Transmission Control module; It is monitored when the ignition key is on. In short, the software has failed and does not match a calculated value. This is an internal fault that requires TCM replacement.

I need to change out the transmission computer or control module on my 2001 Nissan Maxima. The dealer says it's in the dash and is a two hour job. Since they're not sure if it is the problem, I want to get...

It doesn't have to be programmed, Should be on the wall next to the drivers feet, it has tcm on it, It might not be the problem. The junk yard will charge about $100 for a used one. Find somebody with a car like yours and borrow his for ten minutes, it will tell you. They are held in with 3 bolts and 50wires. (plugs), Hope this helps.

Torque converter mulfunction

This is a circuit code. It could be the Transmission control module(TCM), the solenoid, or the wires in between. I would start by checking the wires running between the transmission control module and the transmission. Look for any obvious signs of chaffing or breakage. If the harness is ok, replace the solenoid pack in the transmission. If this still doesn't fix, replace the TCM.
