Theres only 3 things that it could be.1.radiator cloged or won`t hold water,2.waterpump is bad,or 3.The thermostate is frozen closed.Thats saying that you`r belts aren`t slipping and that you`r water hoses are in good shape.

check for power at the fan. The fan may went out, but you need to check the fuse and relay for this. the relay turns it on and off and the fuse is a preventive measure.

'86 honda civic Si fuel issue (sputtering)


Replace the coil pack inside you distributor I believe it will solve a number of headaches for you.
