If the squeeking is happening over bumps, and is not related to breaking, it could be a bearing in the steering linkage. My tahoe is doing the same thing, and my local garage says it is only a dealer fix. That is why I am searching this site now, is to find out if anyone else is complaining about this. I was told that GM is fully aware of this problem.

The door locks on my 1999 tahoe stopped working and I checked the fuse, which was fine. The problem turned out to be that the fuse for my cigarette lighter was bad and for some reason it also must be working in order for the door locks to work. Put in a new cigarette lighter fuse and the door locks worked again!

The lights are fused separately for high and low beam.
The low beam fuse is 10 amp marked LO HDLP in the underhood fuse panel.
This fuse is powered by the low beam relay.
The relay is activated by the body control computer (BCM).
If the fuse isn't being powered it may be a bad relay, wiring to the relay or the BCM.
If it is the BCM there may be a code stored in memory.
This diagram is hard to see but it may be a guideline.
