Question about 2003 Ford Explorer

Cranks but no start.but may start in a day or two or even maybe 45 minuites.but it cranks and cranks and just wont egnite. fellow mechanics have sugested fuel pump but they are high dollar and i dont want to throw parts at it. any ideas on maybe a wire loose or some common issue there?

Try replacing fuel filter first if not then its fuel-pump .

Ford transit 20. td mk6, engine just cutout, turns over fine but wont start any ideas and yes plenty of diesel in the tank.


If it is cranking, starter and egnition are fine, it could be fuel pump, If you can get someone to turn egnition ON, while you put your ear as close as you can to the fuel pump maybe the back seat or in the trunk, you should hear it humming, means its working,

I tried to start my jeep it wouldn't even crank ,earlier to day when i started it made a noise when it cranked ,i turned the engine off and restarted it .started right up later after noon it wouldn't even...


if it doesnt even crank then its possible that your starter motor is damaged or maybe the battery. but if it is the battery you would at least hear a ticking noise when you start the engine. i would suggest to have it checked by a competent mechanic *** electrician to pinpoint the problem.

02 Chevy Blazerstalling problem after about 45 minutes of driving


vacuum leak? or try the fuel pressure regulator my started stalling then got to where it wouldn't crank. changed the fuel pressure regulator and it ran as if it was brand new

88 cavalier has no spark


check the throttle position sensor,it may be stuck and it wont start unless its all the way back.Almost like trying to start it with the gas pedal down-which it will crank and crank but it wont start.

check connection to cold start injector and swap it for a know good one i had that trouble and repairing that fixed it

1993 vw golf wont start


You're ignition switch has gone bad. This is very common on these cars. You have to remove the steering wheel and column covers to do this though.
