The handle doesn't open the door from the inside, how do I remove the drivers door panel and investigate the problem? I have PWR W&L on the door as well. Thank you Tom

on most YR, make & models, roll down the window, R/R inner door handle , pop out pwr window switch / pwr lock switch w/ flat screwdriver. R/R Phillips screws from handle (usually 2 top 2 or 3 side screws). slowly work handle out from door, disconnect wiring clips (lock & window). W/ door open, remove panel by unclipping plastic retainers (hold down clips into the door from the back of the panel.) all around BOTTOM of the door. Next pop panel off the top of the side of the door from the top of the door. Same procedure to reinstall just reverse DON'T FORGET TO PLUG THE WIRING IN BEFORE YOU PUT THE HAANDLE BACK ON! Close/wind up the window. Remove the inside door panel. Be careful with power window switch and door speaker wiring connectors. Disconnect them before pulling the door panel away. Remove any plastic covers that may be glued to the door. Have a look at the door handle from inside the door. You will have some idea as to how to remove it. Usually door handles are secured by screws from the inside. Locate and remove them. Remove linkages to the door handle then pull handle form outside.

the arms have fallen on the lock latch inside the door. you have pull off door panel to fix it

Sounds like the linkage has come off the handle inside the door. The door panel will need to be removed to gain access to the linkage. Be careful when removing the panel! Some are held on by plastic snap clips, others by screws (some hidden some not), Also the linkage may be retained by a small plastic clip that holds it to the handle itself. If this is broken you can usually find a replacement at a auto parts store in the HELP section or by showing and asking a sales person there.

the inside door handle is probably broken. the cable may have popped out but usually its because the clips on the inside door handle break off. luckily you can just replace the handle and not have to get a whole new door panel

Inspect the inside door handle closely. Those are notorious for breaking. They start by cracking and then it doesn't pull on the rods that go to the latching mechanism hard enough to open the door. Did you notice that it started getting to where you had to keep pulling on the handle harder and harder to get the door to open? If so I would almost bet that you need a new inside door handle. They are pretty easy to replace but you will need to remove the door panel. The latch mechanism may be messed up or maybe just needs some lubrication.

The rod has come unhooked or broke. You will have to remove the inner door panel to investigate.

you may have a broken inside handle, open the door, remove screws holding door panel on,then pry door panel off, it has plastic retainers that hold panel on they pry off and pop back when installing panel, once the panel is off you will see if the rod just came off or if handle broke if its the handle replace it remove screww holding it and install new one, some are held with revits, drill revit to remove,use screws to reinstall. hope this helps.

not to bad...just be patient and not break anything.....1- remove the upper trim for window vent cover and spkr grill (clipped on)...2- remove the spkr...3- remove the window crank if non-pwr...remove master sw panel if pwr window( pops up)...4- remove cover behind door handle 2-screws....5-.remove 2-screws at the bottom of the trim panel...6-remove the spkr water shield at the spkr opening,....7- lift panel up and check for anything else that may restrict it from lifting..door handle etc...but it should come off pretty easy....again be patient and it will work fine....hope this helps you..GL

If you removed the 2 bolts near the handle (1 you reach by removing the lock & pwr windows control panel by prying it up, it will pop loose) there are plastic bolts/clips that press in through openings around the edge of the door panel. Just pry out slowly and they should pop out. Work your way around the door. It should slide off over the release handle which you may want to pull outward so it slides over it easier. I just did this 2 days ago to replace my passenger mirror.
