I checked the fuses that might affect the top operation 3 total, they looked ok. The car is stored in a heated garage I don't see any rust or corrosion.

Could it be that the joints of the hood have rusted slightly(bonded)together,or that when you stored it you released the hood then switched it off(you then closed it manually?)then tried to open it...the strain will blow a fuse!

no the hood switch say it is

try scanning the PCM and seening that same error

then fix that.

factory remote starts are very strick, do to the obvious nature

of starting and unoccupied car and the death and mayhem.

it has a logic tree, that saves you from yourself\'

and 1zillion lawsuits.

Sounds like you have a bad battery. (could be a bad charging system too, or a bad ground) Computers may act up if the power is not high enough.

I believe i have a weak battery on my car when i tried starting the car after it had sat a month it was dead. I boosted it and it started and run fine. I bought a trickle charger and put it on the battery....

The charger shouldn't have hurt the battery but corrosion is caused by fumes from the battery being charged or used. If you know the cable ends are clear, the battery probably has a dead cell and will need replaced. Most parts stores will do a load test on the battery for free.

I have a Porsche 911 99 model. Last month, I tried to start it to warm the engine during the cold spell and all it did is crank up but would not start. At the time, lights and windows were functioning. I...

It is most certainly your battery. Those big batteries need a trickle charge on them if you're not driving them a lot. On the 996 Carrera it seems to use a lot of battery power to turn over the engine so first thing I'd suggest is trickle charging it (up front directly in front of windscreen) then try, if that doesn't work, change the battery. If it's completely dead and you can't get the front hood open, there are a positive and negative terminal for getting a current through in the engine bay bottom left(i think). Hope this helps.
