If a shop performed all the services then go back and get copys. Your only option is to complain to ford corporation instead of the dealer if the dealer won't help. The oly reason they would have an issue is if they are saying you have an engine sludge issue

Hello i have a couple of questions. Question #1 my truck has 312,332 miles on it and ive been told that the vortec 5.7 requires synthetic but with that many miles and synthetic never being used will it...

Do not use synthetic oil in a motor with that many miles, it will start leaking very bad. Use oil that indicates high mileage type, it has seal conditioners in it. Also, do not use seafo either, it too will cause isues in an old motor. Try to change nothing, again, use an oil that's intended for high mileage motors.

I have a 2009 GMC Canyon 43,000 miles. Check engine light came on 2 weeks ago.

The cam solenoid may be bad/worn out or the screen is blocked causing this code . States vary on emissions.

Purchased focus sport 2006 model no service manual. Mileage 43,000 kms. Need to know service intervals either time/mileage perhaps a copy of the service schedule will suffice.

These maintenance intervals come from the maintenance interval calculator
at www.autozone.com, using a starting point of 25,800 miles (43000 km), and
assuming 1000 miles (1666 km) driven per month, and "severe driving conditions," which
are actually normal usage characteristics, such as frequent short trips, urban driving, waiting in traffic, driving in hot weather, trips under 16 km in cold weather, etc.

My odometer is 110,000 that a subaru 2008 outback is that bad,i bought only last week

  • Not to bad. Outback is a good vehicle. With so many miles and it only being a 2008 I am inclined to think this was a highway traveled vehicle more than in town. This is good because highway miles is far better on a vehicle than in town miles. Some maintenance you need to either confirm has been done or inspected to see if it needs to be done. May also have some warranty with it to but warranties often do not cover preventative maintenance.
  1. Transmission flush - 20,000 miles
  2. Transmission Filter - 50,000 miles
  3. Radiator flush. - 30,000 miles
  4. Air filter. - As needed.
  5. Oil change. - 3 months or 3,000 miles - usually right away with new vehicle.
  6. Emissions clean. - 25,000 miles
  7. Brake inspection. Right away with new vehicle.
  8. Serpentine belt - 50,000 miles inspect often.
  9. Alignment check - Check is often free.
  10. Tires.

Regards, Tony

Have a slk 280 mercedes benz 2007 with 30,000 miles what problems should i be looking for with this car...and should i purchase a extended warranty from warranty direct????

IF YOU HAVE MERCEDES BENZ.IF YOU HAVE EXTRA MONEY I WOULD ADVISE EXTENDED WARRANTY.THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION WOULD BREAK YOU QUICK.DO ALL YOUR MAINTENANCE INTERVALS.KEEP ALL RECEIPTS AND RECORDS OF OIL CHANGES.

Warranty question. This is probably a stupid question but here it is. I know in order to get warranty work done you must have kept up with scheduled maitenence. Is there a certain window you have to get...

No that should not be a problem. The dealer should still warranty its product. Plus, for the most part, they will assume that you are getting serviced somewhere else, example oil changes. this should not keep the warranty from being good. Now if there is a severe problem you might have a problem.

Premature oil pump failure 04 A4 3.0 Quattro

Absolutely - the 1.8T engine is known for sludging issues. If they diagnosed oil sludge then your engine is covered no matter the mileage. The oil sludge builds up in the 1.8T no matter how well cared for it is, and the sludge can block the oil pickup screen on the oil pump (it's an extremely fine mesh), causing oil starvation and taking out the engine in the process.

Go to www.audiforums.com and do a search there for "oil sludge" and the information will come up. You can learn all about it there. But if your engine has the sludging, and you have receipts proving the oil was changed at the proper intervals, you will get a new engine free of charge - one of the members there is an Audi technician and I remember him posting that he'd changed out a 180k mile engine under warranty due to sludge.

2002 Sable LS 43,000 miles. Check Engine light on again!

without a fault code its impossible to diagnose. try pep boys or aamco or auto zone they will pull the code for you, usually for free. The code will relate to a sensor or area to be fixed. This will save you money and needless parts . post the code or codes so we can help
