If you can remove it by the bottom without damaging anything then that is the way to go. Lots of repair manuals will show you how to do a repair even when there is an easier way. They show the way that is recommended by manufactures.

The service manual tells you to remove the instrument panel but What I did was just took the i.p.out enough on the passengers side to get enough clearance to remove the heater core and evap.core housing.Once the housing is out then remove the evap.core from the housing and install the new one.The main thing is to get the housing out with out braking anything or scratching any trim panels.Hope this helps.Good luck.

I've benn told you can mess up your coils when changing spark plugs on a 2033 gmc sierra?

I don't know of any basis for that statement, assuming your talking about a 2003 Sierra, and not a 2033 Sierra, which I don't think has been designed yet.
I am guessing someone had a bad experience with having changed plugs, and coincidentily, a coil failed at the same time.

Reply back if you have more information.

Fuel filter location Sierra

I have been told by a mechanic that the fuel filter is inside the fuel tank. Have to either drop the tank or remove the pickup bed. Access is on the top of the tank. This is poor engineering.
