The underside of the fuse box cover should have a diagram of what each fuse and re-lays are. i dont have your vehicle specs. but in general some times it might say just ecsesery ( cant spell) might even be an in line fuse or even a breaker . most times lighter is shot or the unit turned and a wire broke or came un hooked. but your on the right path fuse first then the lighter itself then the lighter unit borrow some one elses working lighter to see if its the lighter pull the fuses or test with a tester . also your owners manuel shoul have a diagram or some info that will guide you

Where is 2007 jetta fuses located for cigarette lighter

This fuse is located in the dash fuse box. Upper fuse box, top row, 3rd from the left, a blue 15 amp fuse. On the recent models of the VW Transporter TDI Diesel for example, the Fuse is 3 from the right hand end. Same row, same box, same colour/rating.

Try it and tell us news.

My power outlets and cigarette lighter outlet do not have power. Which Fuses should i change.

chek on the fuse box for Accessories/ cigar lighter, usually this is 10-15 amps rating. Use a long nose plier to check this out and replace. if the fuse blows off again you must check out the lighter for shorting.

My cigarette lighter inmy 1996 VW Jetta doesn't work. I'm trying to find the fuse

Many cig lighters have inline fuses. The fuse is part of the wire going from the lighter to the power source. It typically looks like a small white tube and can be opened by gently twisting and the pulling apart. Before you do that are you sure its' the fuse? The coil in lighters frequently burn out. Try a lighter from a similar car or plug in a cell phone charger to see if your getting power to the lighter housing. If you have power you can get a replacement lighter at most auto parts stores for a couple of bucks.

It is in slot #41 and is a 10 amp fuse.

My 2002 VW Jetta cigarette lighter will not work. I have tried replacing the fuse, and nothing. How do I (myself) change the cigarette lighter? Thanks for your help!!!

You need a dc current test light to see if it is getting current, or plug in a cell phone charger to see if you are getting current. Our it could be the the lighter insert, a burnt out element and not the socket.
