I just had the same problem with my 2007 rav4. I took it to the dealer that I purchased it from when new..Rouen Toyota in Maumee Ohio. They had never heard of such a thing. They will look at it but will have to charge me for looking at the problem. Bull Shoot!!! I went on line and found the drain tube...pulled the passenger carpet back...disconnected the drain hose and over 20oz of water can out of the drain hole....and filled an 8oz cup 3 times. I could not blow thru the drain hose so we ran a bamboo stick thru the hose and it was plugged by spider webs.
I put it back together and all is well now. You must remove your glove box to be able to get in their properly. Also you must keep a clean cabin air filter in place at all times. The dealer wanted $45.00 for a new one...O'Reiley's had them for $8.00.
Boy do your homework online or these dealers will play dumb everytime and stick it to you...Regards Steve Bowling Green Ohio

Toyota 2008 highlander water on rear center passenger floor. A/C drain outside passenger side draining.Seems to puddle on rear floor when A/C is on high and recirculating fresh air. Any clue? problem?

For water to pool on the floor with AC on should indicate a plugged evap drain tube. The tube will have to be inspected for kinks and debris lodged in it. It may be draining some of the water but not enough.

Water leaking on floor of 2005 camry AC

Ok well had same problem. The drain hose is blocked and is backing up and coming out of top of drain plug and tube into the car so the tube hanging down in engine bay left side of motor may be blocked with mud dirt or something else so check it and with aircon on if the water is not dripping out of the drain tube then it is blocked

A/c leaking water passenger floor

Usually a sign of a plugged drain tube.
The HVAC box has a tube that drains the water onto the ground.
The tube should be at the bottom of the firewall near the passenger floor.

How to stop water from pass side floor

Hot or cold water? You need to determine whether it is the A/C drain or leaking heater core. we will start here with A/C. There will be a drain hose going through the firewall into the engine bay. Push a piece of wire up the drain tube then blow softly with compressed air or get fish tank tube put it in drain tube & blow. If you free blockage water will pour out of that drain tube. If the tube is blocked the water will go in the car But a leaking heater will do the same.

have the AC evaporator (found under the dash) inspected. It may need cleaning or the drains may have fallen out of place.

1997 Chevrolet Camaro; water in passanger floor.

Hello Friend:

You said it was Just Water & not Anti-Freeze, Sounds like your Air Condition Drainage Hose off the Evaperator is Plugged.

1- Way to Find out is Start your Vehicle and Look under the Passenger Side see if your getting a Fairly Good Flow of Water out of the A/C Drain Tube. Run it on Max Air and High Fan.

You can Also Try this Turn on your Heater and Take a Look inside on Passenger Floor.

Hope This Helps you Let me Know if you Would of the Quality of the Solution i gave You.

Thanks For Using FIXYA From: d_hubbs

I need to know how to get up in the air vents there is an awful smell coming from them

This Is Indicative OF the EVAPERATOR Housing DRAIN PLUG Getting CLOGGED and REQUIRES that you Locate the RUBBER TUBE Under the Passinger Side of the Vehicles FireWall and USE a Long PEN or PENCILE to POKE into the TUBE to Free The DEBRI that is CLOGGING it Up, The Smell is of OLD MILDEWED WATER from A/C Condensation. UNPLUG the DRAIN TUBE and THIS WILL Let this Smelly Water OUT thus Getting Rid Of the SMELL.
