Question about 2005 Ford Mustang

2 Answers

I own a 2005 6 cylinder Mustang. Recently the yellow engine light came on. I had the code read and is P2195 "Lack of heated oxygen sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1" also H02S11 sensor indicates lean. My question is how do I determine which oxygen sensor to change which one is Bank 1 Sensor 1? There are four 2 on each exhaust.

I own a 2005 6 cylinder Mustang. Recently the yellow engine light came on. I had the code read and is P2195 "Lack of heated oxygen sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 H02S11? sensor indicates lean. My question is how do I determine which oxygen sensor to change which one is Bank 1 Sensor 1? There are four 2 on each exhaust. Again the code is H02S11- Bank 1 Sensor 1? this engine has four sensors 2 on each manifold, how can I determine which one of the four is Bank 1 Sensor 1?\

    Thanks for your help...

Bank 1 is Cyl 1,2,3 (pass side), Bank 2 is cyl 4,5,6 (driver side)

Sensor 1 is the front sensor and sensor 2 is the rear sensor on the exhaust.

Good Luck

Hi! If it gives you the HO2S11 then you will have to replace the right front o2 sensor. Hope this helps and have a good one!

The "code definition" is Bank 1 Sensor 1… This 6 cylinder engine has four sensors 2 on each manifold, how can I determine which one of the four is Bank 1 Sensor 1?

Engine light is on shows code p1131

P1131 FORD - Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank 1
This code is usually caused by a defective Oxygen sensor in cylinder bank one of your engine. Cylinder bank 1 is the bank of cylinders that contains number 1 engine cylinder.

What does code P1151 mean when it is thrown on a 97 mustang GT with a 4.6 motor

Ford P1151 = Lack of heated oxygen sensor bank 2, sensor 1 switches, sensor indicates lean.

The oxygen sensor that is upstream of the catalytic converter on the exhaust side that covers the bank of cylinders that includes cylinder no. 2 (the even bank) is not switching rapidly enough from lean to rich. It is "stuck" on lean mode. It could be tested for proper operation and if it fails the tests, it should be replaced.

I have a 2005 Ford Five Hundred has a CODE P2195 and only run at idle speed can you recommend a fix.

02 sensor is stuck lean ( bank 1 sensor 1 )--bank 1 is the side for # 1 cylinder. oxygen sensors usually wear out at between 80.000 and 100.000 miles. sensor 1 refers to front of convertor. p2195,

bank 1 will be whichever side cylinder 1 of your engine is and bank 2 will be the opposite side. It's named bank 1 and bank 2 so that no matter how the engine is laid out, bank 1 is always on the same side as cylinder 1. I cannot say whether the right hand or the left hand one will be bank 1 as I do not know where your cylinder 1 is. The garage should know
