Can't find switch for rear windows on 2004 pontiac montana

Owner's Manual page 2-26 :

This switch, located in the overhead console switchbank, is used for opening and closing the power rear quarter windows. Press the textured part of the switch to open the windows; both windows will open. The windows will continue to open as long as the switch is pressed, until they are fully opened. Press the part of the switch with the symbol to close both windows. The windows can be closed fully or partially, depending on how long the switch is pressed.

Sunroof on my 05 Taurus got stuck open, it clicks when using the button and won't close..ugh and it's snowing. Lol

sounds like you blew the fuse , change the fuse for the window and close and deal with it later ,the fuse should be either under the dash of under the hood look in the owners manual under the fuse section good luck

Hood open light on

I would say you have a faulty pin switch under the hood. These can be purchased at radio shack and shouldn't be too hard to remove and reinstall.

My son opened the top, went to the store and could not close the roof again. what would cause that. he said he manually closed it but could not lock it down.

Probably the fuse, but just in case make sure the trunk is closed properly.  If it is check all fuses relating to the hood a list of which can be found in the owners manual here:

Jetta 1.8 2002, sunroof won't close. Opens & partially closes with dial in any position; have manged to ge it to close within 3" of full closure but no further. Tracks are clean and clear. Read...

To reset the motor on you sun roof use the switch to fully open and hold the switch for a few seconds in the fully open position then do the same in the closing position. Worth a try.

Hood latch wont close

Hi and welcome to FixYa!
The release cable surely is faulty. Try to trace down the wire an pull it manually to open the hood. By then you can start the cable replacement.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

The power sliding door opens but will not close. If you try to close it manually; upon partially closing, the door motor kicks in and wants to open it again. Thus it requires a lot of manual force to close...

Spray the rollers and pathway with WD-40. This lubricates the door rollers and also cleans the rollers and pathway which the rollers travel back and forth. The door upon any resistance opens protecting the occupants from being hurt in the doorway. This worked on my 2003 Windstar.

If ews2 alarm is fitted it need to be reset by computer. Any tampering will set it into protectction mode. Had similar problem. You can try the following but if it does not work get someonr with diagnostic computer. PREPARATION 1. Close all doors, trunk, hood and sunroof. 2. The security system must be in 'disarm' mode. The key must be removed from the ignition key slot. ENTER CODE LEARNING MODE 3. Open trunk and leave it opened. 4. Open the drivers door and sit in the drivers seat. 5. Close the drivers door. 6. Cycle the ignition switch 5 times between the 'OFF' position and position 2,(ignition 'ON', all dash warning lamps will illuminate). The red status LED will illuminate continuously, and the siren will 'chirp' once, to indicate that the code-learning mode has been initiated. ?Do No start the engine.? The Ignition switch cycling in step #6 must be performed within 10 seconds. The sequence in steps #1-#6 must be performed within 45 seconds. REGISTER/DELETE ID CODE(S) 7. Open drivers door, (remain seated in the drivers seat) 8. Close the drivers door. 9. Press and release any button on the remote you wish to register in the system. The status LED will shut off momentarily to indicate that one code has been registered. 10. Repeat steps 7 thru 9 to register the three ID codes. It is possible for the system to memorize a total of 4 different ID codes. As a new code is initialized into the memory, the oldest code is automatically deleted. If you had lost your remotes and wished to delete the lost remote ID codes from the memory, you could initialize the ID codes from a newly purchased replacement transmitter four times thereby deleting the previous ID codes from the system memory. EXITING CODE - LEARNING MODE: 11. Open drivers door, and exit from the vehicle, leaving the door opened. 12. Close trunk. 13. Close drivers door. The LED will turn off and the siren will 'chirp twice. 14. The initialization procedure is now completed; Test all remotes to confirm operation.
