Gunked up injectors or ailing /bad fuel pump that would explain the suttle and or sudden shut down. but without testing those one could not know 100% so u have a couple places to start.

SOURCE: 1994 toyota camry keeps dying out many times after

Check the fuel filler cap. the fuel tank might be going into a vacuum. Filling creates less room and a vacuum can build up sooner as the fuek is seawn out. Try not topping off tank. overfilling also affects the vapor recovery ststem. Try not to fill into the fill pipe. when nozzle shuts off. don't add anymore. see if that helps. good luck

SOURCE: 1994 toyota camry shut off while driving or slow

What you're describing can be caused by any number of things. However, sometimes, on that generation of Camry, a similar problem is caused by a malfunction in the EGR valve. If the EGR valve opens when it shouldn't, or if it stays open when it should close, it will kill the engine. You can try disconnecting the vacuum hose that actuates the EGR. (Plug the hose so junk doesn't get sucked in). This will disable the EGR from opening. Or, you can disconnect the EGR Vacuum Switching Valve from its electrical harness. This will also inhibit the EGR. If either one of these two "fixes" prevents the problem from happening again, you'll know that it's an issue with the EGR valve.

6cyl,1994 toyota camry shuts off when shifted, but when car stays on it doesn't go with full power and over heats an shuts off. takes a couple of startups to get to stay one when its cold it shift

your catalytic converter may be clogged, if it is bolted on loosen the bolts and pry it away then try to start. if the power returns then you need to replace the catalytic converter. also is it an automatic or standard transmission? If automatic the torque converter is stalling at to low of rpm and needs to be replaced.

Is the check engine light showing a trouble code on the instrument panel? That may pin the trouble down.

1996 Camry 100 km stalling

You have one of two very common problems.
Number one may be a stuck open EGR valve
Number two would be a failing Idle Air Control valve (IAC).
Try this: Open the hood & locate the EGR valve, close to the firewall, behind the intake. Find & take with you a small hammer. The next time that it happens, open the hood & tap on the EGR valve. If it is sticking "open" the tapping may dislodge the carbon particles that are keeping it open. When the EGR valve is open, exhaust is getting into the intake at idle, and this will def stall out the car.
There is no repair to the IAC valve, it would need to be replaced if it is bad.
One of these two scenarios will cure your problem, I see it every day.
