Out the bottom is not a location, it's a general area. You need to actually locate the actual source of the leak before attempting to make a repair of any kind.
sealers sometimes work on small leaks from the radiator, but will not work to stop a leak in either a hose or your water pump. Those need to be replaced if leaking. I have seen items sealed with sealers last for several years but they still should be considered temporary.

Why does my car smell like antifreeze when I put the mode selector control to panel?

You didn't state if you were in heat, A/C, or vent mode.

But, the "heater" in a car gets it's heat from the liquid in the coolant system (which is why it takes a little bit for the heater to start putting out warmth, as the coolant has to heat up first).

Over time, some cars will have the "heater core" start leaking (usually from rust), which might cause an "anti-freeze" smell inside the passenger compartment.

Look for a fluid leak on the passenger side, under the dash, on the foot well and up on the firewall (under the carpeting), and also on the forward side of the firewall.

Steam from antifreeze coming from right side of engin

I would check the hoses in that area. It maybe the the water pump bearing shaft seal. There is usually a small drain hole towards the bottom of the pump, that will leak anti-freeze when the seal goes bad. With an inspection mirror, you may be able to see if anti-freeze is leaking from the pump.

Heater will not blow hot air while truck is idle. When truck is moving hot air blows. There is some clear redish leakage underneth the truck. How can I fix this problem?

You are low on coolant. Find the leak, the red is most likely the coolant.
Coolant comes in 2 colors red and green.
Your leak is probably either a hole in a hose or a faulty water pump. The water pump has a small hole, usually on the bottom, when the seal goes bad, it will leak there. The only fix is a new water pump.

If it is a hose, just replace it. Make sure when you fill it that you fill the radiator and the overflow, just filling the overflow could cause it to over heat.
Also, depending on your climate, you need to mix your anti-freeze with 30-50% water. If you live in a very cold climate, you want to go with 30%water-70%anti-freeze.
Make sure that you use the right anti-freeze. red with red, green with green. Some green ones are now compatible with the red, if you change the color, make sure it is compatible.

1998 jaguar xj8 consumes anti-freeze

First thing to check is the radiator cap seal. If it is not sealing properly, the water will boil off and then soon, the anti freeze will begin to disappear. Clean the metal surfaces and gasket and make sure it is tight ---or buy a new cap --but make sure there is a seal. If that doesn't cure it, you may have a head gasket leak that blows the coolant (anti freeze) into one cylinder. If that cylinder is tight, the coolant will only evaporate in the heat and be blown out the exhaust --not entering the oil pan. Check your exhaust when you start up. You may see white smoke, or even liquid, exiting the exhaust pipe, indicating a blown head gasket (then engine may run rough, too). If this is the case, there are reasonably inexpensive cures for this in some cases.

Leaking anti-freeze from top of motor

Dex Cool Antifreeze likes to eat seals and gaskets. My Guess! That the exhaust gasket is leaking on the back side of the engine.
It is a common and expensive problem GM products have.
You could try stop leak (NEVER DUMP THE WHOLE CONTAINER IN! It can plug the system up!) To use, when cool, open the radiator cap, and take a teaspoon full of the stop leak and put in ( run engine to full temp) and watch for a week (Did it slow down or stop?), if still leaking repeat the above. Barring this working, it is very pricey to replace that gasket. It worked for me.
