Question about 1995 Subaru Legacy
Hello there is a problem with your crankshaft or camshaft posistion sensor. there is a technical service bulletin out from subaru on the sensors. Just gothe to the subaru dealer and get the new sensors and replace them. You car will work fine after that. Takes maybe five minutes to replace both sensors one is one the left side of the engine by the battery near the black timing belt case the other is in the center of the timing cover right above the crankshaft pulley

As you got solutions for this issue. It seems that there is a problem with the fualty sensors. Better Go for sensor replacemnt.
