Most likely cause spark plug wire bad, or you got them incorect when you did a tune up if it happened before tune up. swap the wires but keep the fire order the same . if the wires are good then the # 4 should still be the problem . put them back the way they were now you have ruled out the wires next check the fuel injetion system check for a vacum leak around the # 4 injector listen with a lenght of hose . listen to the injectors they should all be making a clicking noise.cant help you more then that. make and model would help the next expert wiz or guru

2007 saturn aura xr code P0300

Check Engine Light On, P0300 Random Misfire Code. A random misfire means your engine is misfiring, but that the problem is not isolated to one or two cylinders. It is jumping around in a random way from one cylinder to another. A random misfire code usually means the air/fuel mixture is running lean. Replace plugs wires and coil packs.Check crank /camshaft position sensors, check MAFS

Misfire on #4 cylinder when accerating on a 2005 renderous

I would start with switching a coil, swap # 4 coil to another spot and see if the misfire moves, the coils on this van operate to cylinders so move it and see if the misfire changes then you know its the coil and if it does not then next thing is to check spark plug and wire, replace the plug and wire and if that solves it then tune up van, good day,

Hooked up computer to dodge ram 1500 4.7 liter magnum code came up p300 p301 what does this mean

P0300 is the random misfire code. P0301 is the misfire code for Cylinder #1. When was your last tune up? non platinum spark plugs should be replaced around 30-60k along with the wires. With platinum plugs that extends out to 100k. I would try a tune up first plugs and wires. Reasonably cheap fix that is a prevenitive maintenace item anyways. If you have just recently had a tune up or it does not solve your problem you most likely have a bad coil pack on cylinder#1.

Hope This Helps.

I have a 1999 audi a8 q it is runnen rough had a tune up dun that did not fix it and also had oil changed.had it put on computer and shows the number 4 sparkplug misfiring....now sumtimes it will run...

no heavy oil not going to help misfire. if you have a cylinder misfiring it has to be plug, plug wire, coil ,dist.cap &rotor, vavle,or piston rings ,an sometimes it can be headgasket . what u need to do is a compression check on all cylinders to compare to rest of them & do a leak down test on each cylinder only if the compression test are all the same psi. on all cylinders if u do this you will find the cause of the miss fire .

It has a number 2 cylinder misfire. I have already had the plugs, plug wires, and the back coil changed, and it still says it has a number two cylinder misfire. What can I try next?

misfire caused by leaking in the intake valve you must chek it , or may be your car is working rich that means fuel - air mixture is not on the right ratio so check your oxygen sensor
