The triangular-mounted AC belt must come off first.
At the top pulley is a small bracket and hex screw. This is a jackscrew, which when loosened, will lower the top pulley and the belt will become slack. If jackscrew become detached from pulley, just raise pulley by hand to reconnect, and tighten screw to re-thread.
The larger serpentine belt is loosened by performing a Righty-Tighty to the tensionner pulley. The belt will easily slip off all pulleys. Be sure to follow diagram to install new belts. Remove plastic shield under engine for access to lowest pulleys. I recommend tying up belt above top pulley, threading around everything except tensioner, then untying & position belt over tensionner.

Never brake fluid and nothing else goes in brake master cylinder.

Put power steering fluid or automatic transmission fluid (dextron)

1998 Plymouth Voyager serpentine Belt falls off when it is raining and you go through a puddle

I had the same problem with my 98 voyager that I bought used a year ago, my mechanic suggested to replace the serpentine belt due to visible wear, three days later, it fall off again, this time the mechanic, suggested replacing the belt tensioner, that fixed the problem for good.

After going through a water puddle, my steering wheel locks up on my '98 Plymouth Voyager. Any way to prevent this from happening again, other than staying away from the puddles?

Take a look at splash shield coverage at belt and steering pump area, you may have a piece broke off. A new belt, with proper tension should help as well.

Replacing the Power Steering

belt is cheap. power steering pump is cheap (find a good used one a salvage yard) power steering rack is a bit more expensive and more involved to replace. you really need to know what is bad. make sure the fluid is full first. any noises?

It is really hard to make turns. check power stering fluid ok

check power steering fluid if real real low you have a leak at hoses or pump seals.if all is good check for low tires and lack of lubrication to at ball joints and tie rod ends. if all is good you have power steering pump failure.
