The fuses are not the issue, face plate on radio OK, no other work except diagnostic test to find mass flow sensor problem.

Hello,
When the MAF on most vehicles reach a point of preventing the engine from starting, you can usually just unplug it and the engine will start. If that doesn't work-
You may want to try having the O2 sensor, ( Oxygen sensor ), checked. It works with other components of the emission system and can cause similar symptoms as the MAF, including preventing the engine from starting.

It is on the front of the motor just under the rear part of the waterpump in the timing cover. But I doubt it is the problem. Sounds more like a bad crank sensor. Which is located behind the crank pulley.

Could be idle air control valve, or mass air flow sensor, or a vacuum leak at the intake manifold or vacuum hoses.

You may have a faulty crank sensor again. Next time it cuts off hot, spray or pour water on it and then try to see if it will crank. These cars had a cutting off problem with ecm #1228253 but most of them would start right back up. If it has that number on it replace it.with #16198264 or newer number. Get a delco and not an aftermarket ecm..
