Question about 2005 Ford F-150
When you turn the key from off to run ( do not start ) does everything power up ? ( i.e. radio, etc ) You only make note of not starting.
If you turn the key from off to accessory, press and hold the brake and shift into Neutral, then try starting. This is checking that the DTR ( Digital Transmission Range ) Sensor is working in at least 1 of the 2 positions. Old school name for this is the neutral switch.

Could be an ignition switch or a bad starter or it could be a bad power or ground connection or it could be a starter relay. check those those things and see what you find. If it is cranking but not starting check the inertia switch to make sure that it is working.
